Challenge Revival Plus RAK day

Back in January I had a goal to post or give a card a week, and blog about it. Unfortunately when my dad had a stroke in late January it kind of got derailed... but the plan was always in the back of my mind.

I have been much more active this year about getting cards to the intended recepient on time for birthdays, or just because... but not every week, mostly not blogged about.

So, because its never too late to make a fresh start, I am going to challenge myself to go back to my original goal. If you have trouble getting those cards in the mail, why don't you join me? I am thinking up some little incentives for those who join in. We can help keep each other energised and on task.

Did you know that 1 September is a very special day in New Zealand. Not only is it the first day of the new Stampin'  Up! Ideas Book and Catalogue, it is also our National RAK day.

RAK= Random Act of Kindness...the idea is to do small acts of kindness for others including complete strangers. You can get some ideas here at the official website. Co-incidentally this week's ESAD Challenge to make and send a card. So join me as I re-activate my resolution from January 2010 to send a card a week, starting on RAK day.

The card I am sending is a little hello to a friend who has just found out her mother has a recurrence of ovarian cancer... I hope it is a little boost for her in this difficult time. The card is a case  from the new catalogue! just changed the stamp set to one I already have.

Leave a comment on this post when you have completed the challenge, with a note on who you sent the card to and why. This weekend I will draw a name from the comments and send the winner a little envelope of goodies. You can comment for each card you send... but you must send (or deliver) the card for it to count. I'd love to hear about any other non-card RAKs you receive or give.

Good luck as you share the joy of handmade cards...
