Craft Room Cleanup and Blog Giveaway

Its time to get serious in the craft room: I have lots of fun new projects I want to work on (Stamp Club, recycle challenge, Stampfest etc) but my messy craft room is sapping my will to live: well at least my will to create!!

I have dedicated some time to working through the piles and finishing projects. One great result: I have finally finished the top of a king single patchwork quilt! You can see it in the picture above. This was from a kiwiquilters block swap in 2000. Now to send it off to be quilted. I have some orphan blocks I will be donating to a quilters guild: hooray more space to papercraft. I'd love to hear about any old projects you have finally completed.

I have been filling a box with scrapbooking and stamping goodies I no longer use, and I have decided to offer it as  blog candy. So here is your chance to win: just make a comment on my blog to go in the draw. Some of the items are brand new, some lovingly used. As they are not all Stampin Up products I am unable to show them on my blog, but rest assured there are some real treasures. Stamps, inkpads, glitter, embellishments, ribbon.  I will stuff a A5 Post bag and send it on its way to the lucky winner. I will draw the winner next Wednesday 26 January at 6pm (sorry, offer only to New Zealand residents)

Update: have now supersized the giveaway box so fit more treasures!

Love your quilt top from swap blocks, I cant remember doing this one but wish I had. You have put your blocks together well, not always easy with a block swap with many people.

Always enjoy your posts. A separate craft room is a 'must'. Have finally converted our 3rd bedroom into my C & C room (Crafts & Computer room. No more of my 'junk' (Hubbies word) in the dining & living rooms and hallway. Feels so GOOD! No more searching everywhere to find what I want when I get a creative urge. Didn't realise I had 85 sets of SU stamps (sacrificed clothing and outings)! Now to label all the boxes so's I know exactly where everything is. My demo will be impressed after her holiday. Then to finish off some projects before starting any new ones. Cheers!

Good on you - I really need to clean mine up too, I had to move rooms recently and my new craft room is about half the size and has to be shared with Hubby's office - at the moment there are piles everywhere - I really need to clean it out so I can get crafting again.
Thanks to win some of your goodies.

Please enter me Carol Anne. I wish I could make a quilt I tried once but it turned out more of a triagle then a rectangle.

Hi Carol-Anne
Your endless talents never cease to amaze me, you are a very talented lady. I envy you having a scrap-room but I do have a number of lay-outs that need journeling so that is my mission in the New Year to finish those. Thanks for the opportunity to win some of your pre-loved scrapbooking goodies.
Cheers

Will have a craft room soon so can at least start with a tidy room lol. That will mean we get back the dining room for what it is intended. Love your quilts.
I know what you mean, in November I moved house and the major moving items were in my sewing room! So hard to throw things away too. I now have sorted my UFO's in order of importance and just getting on with them. I remember the 2000 swap - I have my quilt (Autumn leaves) on the dogs couch (yes they are spoilt) I will post it on my blog. http://quiltartgirl.blogspot.com I also did the German quilters swap around then and have that on my wall in sewing room.
